About
I was born and raised in historic Bucks County, PA – a region of the country with which I am hopelessly in love, despite its recent invasion by retail mega-stores and city-fleeing thirtysomething minivan pilots ruining traffic patterns in their pursuit of a more rural life. I graduated from Quakertown High School in 1999 and attended the West Chester University of Pennsylvania School of Music. Like a moron, I stopped about 21 credits short of a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, which I plan to finish up in the next year or two, attending class part time.
I’ve had quite a few interesting jobs, including postal carrier, sewer plant worker, school bus driver, and I turned down a job as a 911 operator for my current job because I’m dumb. I’m also a volunteer firefighter and have been for 12 years.
I’m a classically trained musician whose main instrument is the trumpet. I have a little skill on the piano, and very little skill on many other instruments. I’ve studied the trumpet under Bob Livingood, Ken Laudermilch, Jim Hala, and Frank Kaderabek. Throughout my time at West Chester I performed in the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, several brass quintets, the Statemen Jazz Ensemble and the Criterions Jazz Ensemble, among others. I completed all of my music courses and just have to finish a few computer science and gen ed courses for my degree.
